CNBC channels world business news to Yahoo

SAN FRANCISCO (AFP) - US cable television news channel CNBC is making its business stories available online at Yahoo's Yahoo Finance page under the terms of an agreement announced on Wednesday.

NBC Universal-owned CNBC will provide articles and video clips for distribution at financial news websites operated by California-based Internet titan Yahoo, according to the companies.

Stories will come from CNBC operations in Europe, Asia, and the United States as well as its Internet website. Yahoo Finance is the world's most popular business news website, according to industry statistics.

"This agreement brings together two global market leaders to meet the growing demand for online business and financial information," said CNBC president Mark Hoffman.
