A partnership between the Brazilian government and National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) will see concessions done in a move to improve sanitation services in the country. The president of Trata Brasil, Edison Carlos pointed out the importance of the initiative. According to him, the concession will improve the systems’ management, structure, and resource area. During the interview at, Felipe Montoro Jens, infrastructural projects’ specialist brought up the issue of decreasing the levels of waste.

In Brazil, 90% of the basic sanitation is performed by public institutions and about 70% undertaken by state organizations noted on The Trata Brasil boss expressed his believe that operating together of the private sector and public sector can have a great impact in the sanitation sector.
